M.E.L. did excellent engineering work on our flagship product, the Scatmat, which gives trespassing pets a mild training shock. The original mat covered our conductive 'zapping' wires with a perforated vinyl layer that was expensive to manufacture and difficult for consumers to clean. M.E.L. redesigned the mat and developed a new production process and machine, trimming both labor and materials costs by half. M.E.L. also participated in the development of an ultra-low power battery-based proximity sensing system to detect the pet's presence. This made the mat portable and easier for our customers to use.

Dr. Milroy also assisted with the development of two additional animal control products. His excellent engineering on the Scarecrow helped to make it a recognizable world-class product. With his help we have developed the most innovative bird-repelling strip on the market today. Dr. Milroy has contributed to our competitive position through good design and automation.
