"ME did excellent engineering work on our flagship product, the Scatmat, which gives trespassing pets a mild training shock. The original mat covered our conductive 'zapping' wires with a perforated vinyl layer that was expensive to manufacture and difficult for consumers to clean. ME redesigned the mat and developed a new production process and machine, trimming both labor and materials costs by half. ME also participated in the development of an ultra-low power battery-based proximity sensing system to detect the pet’s presence. This made the mat portable and easier for our customers to use."
